Pasmay Privacy Policy
Last Updated: [Current Date – June 14, 2025]
Welcome to Pasmay (referred to as “Pasmay,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Pasmay operates a multi-vendor marketplace connecting local brick-and-mortar retail stores (“Vendors”) with shoppers (“Users” or “you”) in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. Our platform enables Users to discover products online and then visit the physical stores to try, examine, and purchase products directly from Vendors.
This Privacy Policy explains how Pasmay collects, uses, discloses, and protects your personal information when you use our website, mobile application (Progressive Web App – PWA), and services.
By accessing or using Pasmay, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect various types of information to provide and improve our services to you and our Vendors.
a. Information You Provide Directly:
- Account Information: When you register for an account (as a User or a Vendor), we collect your name, email address, phone number, and password.
- Vendor Information: If you are a Vendor, we collect additional information necessary for managing your store on Pasmay, including business name, address, contact details, product listings (photos, descriptions), and subscription payment information.
- “Order” / Reservation Details: When you place an “order” (which acts as a reservation or confirmed lead for in-store pickup and purchase), we collect details related to the products you’re interested in. Please note: Pasmay does NOT collect or process any payment information from shoppers for product purchases. All payments are made directly to the Vendor’s physical store.
- Communications: When you communicate with us (e.g., customer support, feedback) or with Vendors through the platform, we collect the content of those communications.
- Marketing & Preferences: Information you provide when subscribing to newsletters, participating in surveys, or setting your communication preferences.
b. Information We Collect Automatically:
- Usage Data: We collect information about how you access and use Pasmay, such as your browsing history, the pages you view (especially product pages and Vendor store pages), time spent on pages, search queries, interactions with features (e.g., “Add to Cart” for reservation), and referring URLs. This data helps us understand user behavior for lead generation and improving the platform.
- Device Information: We collect information about the device you use, including IP address, device type, operating system, browser type, and unique device identifiers.
- Location Information: With your consent, we may collect precise or approximate location information (e.g., via GPS or IP address) to enable location-based search functionalities (finding products and stores within a radius). You can control location services through your device settings.
- Cookies & Similar Technologies: We use cookies, web beacons, and similar tracking technologies to track activity on our service and hold certain information.
- Cookies: Small data files stored on your device that help us recognize your browser, maintain login sessions, remember preferences, and analyze site traffic.
- PWA Specific: Our Progressive Web App (PWA) may use service workers to enhance performance and provide an app-like experience, which involves caching certain data for faster loading.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for various purposes, including:
- To Operate and Maintain Pasmay: Providing access to the marketplace, managing user and vendor accounts, displaying product listings, and enabling search functionalities.
